Learn Art Swim Camp at Queen Elizabeth pool & Kinsmen (No experience needed)
Location: Kinsmen Sport Centre (Queen Elizabeth pool & Kinsmen pool)
week 1 - 6 to 8 Aug Tue, Wed, Thu
week 2 - 13 to 17 Aug Tue, Thu
Week 3 - 19 to 22 Aug Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu
New swimmers 6 to 12 YOA (to learn the sport) - 8:30 to 12 (early drop off at 8 AM - please consult)
All swimmers new to Artistic Swimming also need to register with AAS. Here is the link for registration (please register as short term & ”other” the cost of registration is 10 dollars+GST
If you decide to withdraw after registering, a 50 dollar fee will incur. If the withdraw request is received less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the class, there will be no refund issued.
Camp format
Meet: At the Queen Elizabeth pool (Kinsmen Edmonton) at 8:30AM
Outdoor dryland activities in surrounding green spaces
Indoor session with a dance instructor
Pool sessions (4hrs weeks 1 & 2/6hrs week 3)
Pick up: 12:00pm - At the Queen Elizabeth pool (Kinsmen Edmonton)
(Dress to be active and weather appropriate. Bring swimming gear, water, snack & sunscreen.)
All our outdoor activities will follow Environment Canada's recommendations. Our activities will be adjusted when the Humidex Index gets to 40 or the Air Quality Index gets to 7. We may have to suspend activities if the Humidex Index gets to 46 or the Air Quality Index gets "very high" at 10 or above. The outdoor pool will close if there is lightning or if it is raining so hard that the lifeguards can't see the bottom of the pool. Outdoor dryland activities in surrounding green space will also be suspended in case of lightning.
