Refunds

1.     Persons registered in a Club program will receive a full refund, less an administrative feel prior to the program registration deadline.

2.     For Pre-Competitive Programs:

a.     The annual Alberta Artistic Swimming Fee is non-refundable.

b.     A $20 fee will apply for all withdrawals. 

c.     Withdrawals after the program begins will be refunded at a prorated value.  No refunds will be issued after the third class. 

d.     If the class is cancelled prior to the start date by the Club a full refund will be issued. If the class is cancelled after the start date a pro-rated refund will be issued.

e.     If the registrant does not have strong enough swimming skills to participate (as deemed by coaches) a full refund will be issued.

3.     For Competitive Programs:

a.     Persons canceling from a Club program after the registration deadline and more than 1 week prior to the start of the program will be charged a 15% administration fee and refunded the balance of their fees.

b.     The annual Alberta Artistic Swimming Fee is non-refundable.

c.     Persons cancelling less than one week prior to the start of the program, or failing to show for a program that they registered for will receive no refund of the first month’s fees.

d.     There are no refunds given for competition entry fees.

e.     Extenuating circumstances may be considered by the Board. Any medical reasons will require a doctor’s note.

f.      Any request for cancellation must be forwarded in writing to the Excel Head Coach and the Board. 

g.     If the cancellation occurs anytime after the first of the month, no portion of the month in which the cancellation notice was received will be returned, as all post dated swim payment cheques are dated and deposited on the first of the month. 

h.     Prior to January 1, post-dated cheques that have been provided will be returned for the months following the month in which the cancellation notice was provided.     

i.      After January 1, cancellation refunds will be at the discretion of the Board.

j.      In the event that a swimmer leaves the Club as a cancellation or termination and there are fees owed to the Club for programming, supplies, travel, fundraising, etc., these  amounts will remain the responsibility of the swimmer and must either be paid directly or deducted from any reimbursed payment or post dated swim payment cheque.

4.     Season or Camp Interruption and Cancellation Refunds

a.     All refunds for programs in the event of an interruption or cancellation are at the discretion of the Board.

b.     Fees paid for the month the interruption of cancellation occurs will not be refunded, unless all Club expenses are covered and then a prorated value may be refunded.

c.     Fees for successive months following an interruption or cancellation may be refunded only if Club expenses are covered.

d.     Pre-Competitive program or camp fees may be refunded at a prorated value in the event of a program interruption or cancellation at the discretion of the Board.
